What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections
PRP is a natural product created from your own body. A small amount of blood is drawn from you and placed in a sterile tube that is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood. Red and white blood cells are separated from the platelets and the plasma (the clear fluid). This plasma now contains a higher than normal number of platelets and is called platelet rich plasma, or PRP. This portion is rich in millions of growth factors that can work unopposed to stimulate your stem cells and rebuild the damaged areas of concern.
The PRP, is now injected into specific areas of the skin, and promotes your own collagen to grow, regenerates tissue, and thus acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin. In this way, PRP softens wrinkles creating smoother skin texture and tone.
Many athletes — Tiger Woods, tennis star Rafael Nadal, and several others — have received PRP for numerous problems, such as sprained knees and tendon injuries with incredible results and accelerated healing. From this success, PRP has been applied to esthetic medicine and hair rejuvenation for the past 15 years
PRP Rejuvenation is the Future of Skin Rejuvenation.. It is a 100% NATURAL treatment without any risk of scarring, lumpiness, or frozen expression of the face.

PRP- What expectations can you have?
The goal of PRP skin rejuvenation therapy is to improve skin tone and texture, tighten skin, soften lines and pores. Results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session and continue to improve with time. Three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve the best outcome.
Advanced wrinkling and or Acne scars may need Chemical peels in addition to PRP treatments.
How long do results last for?
Treatment results vary however in most patients the results last from 2-3 years. Again your cells and rejuvenated structures are back to a renewed state, depending on your daily maintenance and care, your results will vary. How does PRP therapy differ from other injections or fillers?
Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Restylane and Juvederm , are composed of an injectable chemical that fills lines and skin folds. These fillers are indicated to soften deeper lines such as the folds around the mouth area, or to plump lips. They usually last from 6-12 months;
PRP stimulates your own collagen to grow for total facial rejuvenation rather than individual wrinkle improvement. PRP is used for volumizing faces that are beginning to look drawn, to plump out cheek volume loss, and improve under the eye hollow region. The skin tone improves dramatically, the skin is tighter and texture visibly enhanced. Now the areas where hyaluronic acid fillers should not be used can be addressed and treated more readily.
Please note that fillers can be used in conjunction with PRP as the two types of treatments are meant for different purposes; they supplement each other to give the best final outcome of a more youthful looking face. PRP acts to improve overall quality, tightness, and texture of the skin rather than filling individual deeper wrinkles.
